Teresa Sewell

Teresa Sewell served on the Executive Team as the Senior Associate Vice President for Student Services (Chief Student Affairs Officer) at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin from 2012-2019. During her 35 year tenure as a professional in Student Services, she served in several positions in Student Services, including Student Success, Admission and Recruitment, Financial Aid, Career Services, Student Conduct, Student Engagement, and Dean of Students. Some of her direct reports included Residence Life, Transportation, Child Care, Veteran Services, Campus Recreation, Student Life and New Student Orientation, Foster Students, Dean of Students, Student Counseling Services, and Health Services.

Teresa has been active in Texas Association of Chief Student Affairs Officers, Texas Deans of Students, National Association for Campus Activities, National Orientation Directors Association and Texas Association of College and Student Personnel Administrators.

Teresa earned degrees from West Texas A&M University and The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. She holds student engagement, student success and cooperation/collaboration across the campus near and dear to her heart.

Teresa has been very involved in her church, serving on retreat teams and participating in choir.  When her children were younger, she was very involved in PTA, Scouts and coached and refereed youth soccer.

Teresa and her husband, Kelly, live in Nazareth, Texas.  They have four sons and one grandson.
